Today the fourth graders headed to Mayflower Beach in search for sand dollars. This beach has always been a jackpot spot for these beautiful sea creatures. Unfortunately we didn't even find one- but it was SO MUCH FUN! The students and I had an absolute blast. They were still able to explore different shells (and what kind of sea creatures these shells were homes to), shell sacks, different rocks, and we even got to talk about why the sand was softer on the bay side, versus the sound side. Overall, it truly encompassed our whole "Cape Cod's Classroom" definition. We are very excited to be getting out each week! Thank you, Dr. Jeff and Board for giving us this amazing opportunity to explore our home.
